Linda Hudson is a recognized expert in the area of issues affecting sexual relationships, sexual trauma and sexual addiction. She specializes in helping women and men address the challenges of evolving sensuality and sexuality. From mismatched sex drives to damaged relationships to intimacy after divorce or illness, Linda supports individuals and couples as they regain a renewed sense of hope, pleasure and passion.

During her 30-year career, she has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s foremost authorities in her field and has assisted hundreds of clients in improving their self-esteem, relationships and sex lives through one-on-one counseling, workshops and group sessions.

Having been in recovery herself from sexual addiction for over 32 years, Linda brings compassion, empathy and an added understanding of the complexities of addiction. She believes that our relationships provide the most important –and often the most difficult– ways to learn about others and ourselves. She works holistically with clients to find healing on an emotional, physical and spiritual level.

A licensed professional counselor, Linda holds a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and an undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama. Following graduate school, Linda trained with Dr. Patrick J. Carnes the founder of the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP) and one of the leading pioneers in sexual research and recovery.

The past President of the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), and the recipient of the first Merit Award for Outstanding service, Linda currently serves as Board Advisor as well as is a faculty member for SASH’s Advanced Training of Problematic Sexual Behavior. Linda is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).

She is one of the co-authors of Making Advances: A Comprehensive Guide for Treating Female Sex and Love Addicts (Edited by Marnie Ferree). A groundbreaking work, Making Advances is the first book to offer a targeted approach for effectively treating women who struggle with sex and love addiction. Linda is a frequent speaker and trainer on issues of addiction, sexuality, spirituality and relationships.
